Northern Electric No. 1 Desk Set (1937)
Canada's version of the Western Electric 302.
Electrically similar, but with a wider deco-styled base.
One of the early integrated phones including internal
network and ringer. Ready to plug in and use.
Available with optional "NU" handset (Add $25) and/or
with BPO dial. Occasionally available in mahogany bakelite
(brown). Stunning! |
Kellogg 925 "Ashtray" (1937)
First Kellogg phone with the network and ringer built
into the phone. Nicknamed "ashtray" due to the spherical
indentations in the base under the handset ends. An
unusual fashion statement. Ready to plug in and use. Note
that while the early production sets were bakelite, later
production sets have plastic bases and bakelite
handsets. Most of the bakelite bases found today
have chips or cracks. Price: $300. (Limited availability.) Available with optional Chromed fingerwheel or manual (no

AE34 (single plunger and older handset). |
